Norinco Mak 90 56s-2 Bakelite spiker side folder chambered in 7.62×39. In 1989 only one 56s-2 bakelite spiker side folding rifle made into the US prior the assault weapons ban. The rest of the rifles were forced to be “sporterized” by being made into compliant sporter series of rifles. This meant tac-welding the muzzle on, removing the folding bayonet, removing the bakelite forearm, pistol grip, and side folding stock/trunion. The importers were forced to either “sporterize” the rifle or cut the rifle into parts kits. Most of the original bakelite sidfolding rifles were cut into parts kits and sold. Â We have found these incredibly rare parts all original new in the cellophane wrap. We took an original MAK90 rifle and reinstalled all the original parts to recreate this absolutely beautiful 56s-2 bakelite side folding spiker. Due to 922R compliance the rifle has to have 6 US made parts which are the trigger, hammer, disconnector, muzzle nut, magazine follower, Body, and floor plate.The rifle features an original Chinese 16″ threaded chrome lined barrel, front-sight folding spiker combo block, “fangs” the retain the cleaning rod, bakelite lower and upper handgaurd with factory bayonet cut out, 800 meter adjustable rear sight, beautiful blue finish, all matching original Mak 90 trunion, bolt, bolt carrier, dustcover, and an original Chinese bakelite side folding stock with cleaning kit still in it! The rifle comes with a brand new sling, oiler, and gas port carb cleaning. tool This is truly a collectors item and will make any serious AK collector drool.
